love the texture and layers of colors to this... close-up of an old, much-repainted, low railing beside the parking lot. (I promise the store is not actually grungy like this! I just have a predilection for old decaying little things, as I'm sure you're aware by now...)

close-up of paint peeling on a windowsill. <3

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

another close-up of a dumpster... I can't figure out if that pink was actually there, or if it was my camera glitching again, as it's done that sort of thing before. either way, still kinda cool.

the next set are alongside the paper factory (that's the name of the store, it's not an actual factory by any means!) in town, toward the back of the store. great way to spend a lunch break, taking pictures. ;) this is a close-up of a dumpster, the colors were amazing.

bits of rubble and remains; butter'n'eggs growing up alongside old cement and what might be aged insulation...

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

a corner of the old foundation - I believe near where the ticket window once was, if I remember correctly (by the time I arrived in town, it had long been boarded up, the doors locked...except, of course, the one in back ;).

a bit of painted flooring, half-buried under gravel and encrouching plants.

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

I love the colors and textures and all in this... looks like it was taken in a desert, rather than among the ruins of an old movie theater.

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

bits of cement which once made up walls or floors, scattered and coated in moss, surrounded by small yellow bouquets grown in mourning.

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

any of you who I know irl have probably seen the photos I took inside an abandoned movie theater in fredonia... a few months after I took those, the building was torn down; I returned to town after the summer break to find only rubble close to the ground. the next series are taken on the place where it used to be...

close-up of one of the edges of the ferris wheel. always fascinates me, in a creepy sort of way, looking at the wear and rust and things of amusement rides...

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

shot of the ferris wheel, taken while in motion while we were on it. really like the little bursts of color dotting the white lines.

I took a bunch of shots around the ferris wheel, more than anything else... partly because it makes such interesting shapes, partly because, y'know, it's a ferris wheel, it moves slowly enough that you *can* take pictures.

another shot of hershey... I wanted to capture the shine of her coat, but it didn't really happen. sigh. I'm not used to taking pictures of things that move of their own volition and things.

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

such a pretty horse! and such a sweet one. this is Hershey, the one I mentioned on my main blog, that I pet a lot and talked with her owner. again, couldn't get the sort of shot I'd quite wanted... she was a lil too large to fit into the camera's view like I'd wanted. hmm.

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

the lil baby goats moved too quickly for me, I'd wanted to get a shot when all three of the ones in the pen had their heads sticking out through the fence, looking in the same direction, but, they moved. This one was the cutest though, she kept coming over and watching me take pictures. (However, continued moving too quickly for me to get a really good shot..)

THIS IS THE CUTEST LIL BABY BUNNY EVER. He was too adorable. He was doing the cutest little sitting up at the water bowl thing, and kept looking up at meeeeee! ...uhm, yes. This next set is from the Chatauqua County Fair, where Tom and I spent an afternoon.

yet another shot, but with extra glowingness. <3

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

close-up! AND! you can see the sparkles! I'm not even sure what they really are, but in the petals of some flowers (day and oriental lilies, among others), if you look closely and have the right light, there's this sparkling sort of.. crunchy texture there, like if you pinch it with your fingernail it leaves a mark. but it shimmers and I've always loved it, and hadn't gotten a proper photo of that aspect before. now, I have. *happydance*

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

I can't decide if I like the composition here or not, but, I adore the colors and light and position of the flowers. these daylilies have been so wonderful, a handful of flowers every day for weeks. <3

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

oh. oh I win. this next set came out so incredibly beautifully. I am so in love. I knew I had to get shots of these daylilies in the evening sunlight, and I did, and they came out so beautifully.

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

I *love* these tiny little vines. they kind of drape themselves along the bottom of the first set of steps. they're not, of course, *supposed* to be there, but they look incredibly pretty there to me.

- .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..

leaves of one of the random plants growing around our back porch, against the cement back steps. and evening light. <333
