I love I love. one of the daylilies growing beside our back porch. the lighting, the shadow, the contrast, the colors, everything about this is so pretty. (couldn't decide on a good cropping though, did a bit but not quite sure I'm content with it.) - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  more of the brick, some different hues in this, and I like the composition better. (keep an eye out for these to be layered into desktop backgrounds sometime...) - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  close-up of some of the brick - love the cracking and the burnt and the falling apart, such fantastic patterns and textures. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  another shot on the old incinerator; wanted to get another shot of that little vine, showing the way it's climbing out away from the wall. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - Friday, July 21, 2006 I am also insanely happy with this shot - moss and a small vine growing out of a bit of crumbling, scorched brick alongside the old incinerator beside our apartment. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  This, is one of my new absolute favorites. I was walking around from the front to the back of our apartment, and saw this, and was so struck by the colors and the angle of the flowers and everything. Pretty darn perfect; I love how vivid everything is. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  THIS. LOOKS. EVEN. AWESOMER. I am so happy with this shot, I really really am. Oak leaves and their shadows on the oak tree's trunk. Light and shadow in this are amazing. I love. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  maple leaves, out near the front of the apartments. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - Wednesday, July 19, 2006 wanted a shot of the pathway leading from the parking lot up into the wooded area, just a pretty little path from the top, and the lighting was really great. love the symmetry of the branch and its shadow, the blue of the pavement and orange of the dirt. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  just liked the lighting here. come to think of it, I should've changed this to black and white, it might look nice that way. hmm. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  not sure that I'd noticed it then, but there's a really fantastic mirroring of the split root shape in that plant. spots of lighting are also nice. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  spotted this juxtaposition a few weeks ago, and fell in love with it instantly. this is back in a small patch of woods between the apartments and nearby plaza, on the top of a small hill, with a nice view of nearby parking lots. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - ..  queen anne's lace, growing beside the middlesex parking lot. love the lighting and contrast in this, I went out later in the afternoon purposely, one of my favourite light-times. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. - .. |
